"Not all MPs are the same"

"Not all MPs are the same" says Ed Davey on BBC's Question Time last week.

That's true. To my knowledge, only one other MP claimed for a large mailing machine - and the Guardian said about that MP:

“My favourite has to be the £8,000 envelope-stuffing machine Salmond claimed for. For that money, I'll stuff as many envelopes as he wants.”

Other MPs recognise that mailing machines are campaigning items, and need to be paid for out of funds raised by local parties. And even if his local party paid for part of this mega machine, should the taxpayer pick up the tab for such a large proportion of this campaigning item?

Ed Davey finished his chat on BBC Question Time by saying "Thank God for the Daily Telegraph".

Thank God indeed.
